Ana Paula Oliveira bio

Ana Paula Oliveira, born in Campinas Sao Paulo on May 26 in 1978. She is known as an actor for Woman on Top (2000), Sem Fio (2009), and A Indomada (1997). Ana Paula Oliveira was appointed as a member of the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime by March 2020. She is currently a multilateral engagement core team as well as an analyst for the Assassination Witness program. As part of her role at GI TOC she is focused on the assassination of people - which includes disappearances in addition to violence of different types in the context of illegal economies. Alongside the organized crime aspect, her research is focused on human rights implications as well as human rights law in the international context. Ana Paula earned an LL.M. with honors on International Law at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies of Geneva. She holds a LL.M. on Public Law, as well as an MBA in international relations from Fundacao Getulio Vargas. Ana Paula holds a Bachelor degree with a magna cumlaude distinction in Legal as well as Social Sciences by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She has been a practicing attorney for over four years at a law firm that focuses on litigation involving public law. Additionally, she has held assistant positions at non-governmental organisations that are based within Rio de Janeiro, and Geneva.
